Who we are

Daytiq Ltd (“Daytiq”, “we”, “us”) is registered in England and Wales. We build the Daytiq app, which helps families plan their day at theme parks using live wait times, personalised itineraries, and crowd predictions. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

Daytiq is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of Paultons Park or any other park operator. Ride names, wait times, and park layouts referenced in the app belong to their respective operators.

Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data — the email address and password you use to sign in. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase; we never see or store your password in plain text.
  • Family profile data — information you add about your children to personalise your itinerary: date of birth (used to estimate height and filter age-appropriate rides), height in centimetres, thrill preference, whether they can sit upright unassisted, and any ride restrictions you flag (for example: pregnancy, back or heart conditions, fear of heights or dark rides, or wheelchair access needs). You may also add adult members of your party and their ride preferences.
  • Location data — your device’s GPS location while you’re actively using the app, so we can show your position on the park map and estimate walking times between rides. We only access location in the foreground, while the app is open — never in the background.
  • Usage data — the rides and itinerary items you view, add, skip, or mark as done, so we can build and replan your day.
  • Device and diagnostic data — device type, operating system version, app version, and crash or error logs, used to fix bugs and keep the app working reliably.

Children's data

Daytiq is designed to be used by a parent or guardian on behalf of their family. Account holders must be old enough to enter into these terms in their own right; children do not create their own accounts or interact with Daytiq directly. Any data about a child — such as date of birth, height, or ride restrictions — is entered by the parent or guardian who holds the account, and is used solely to personalise that family’s itinerary and filter out rides a child cannot safely ride.

We do not use children’s data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the core planning features of the app. A parent or guardian can view, edit, or delete a child’s profile at any time from within the app.

How we use your data

We use the data described above to:

  • Build and continuously replan a minute-by-minute itinerary for your family
  • Filter ride suggestions by height, age, and the restrictions you’ve flagged
  • Show your position on the park map and calculate walking times
  • Generate quietest-day and quietest-time predictions from aggregated wait-time data
  • Provide customer support when you contact us
  • Diagnose crashes and improve the app’s reliability and performance

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your family’s profile data for third-party advertising.

Who we share data with

If you share your household code with another account (for example, a partner or co-parent), that account can view and edit your family profile — including your children’s details, ride restrictions, and preferences. You choose who to share your code with; we don’t generate it on anyone’s behalf or share it ourselves.

We use Supabase to host our database and handle authentication; your data is processed and stored on Supabase infrastructure in the EU under a data processing agreement. We do not share your account or family profile data with theme park operators, advertisers, or data brokers.

We use Sentry to collect crash and error reports so we can diagnose and fix bugs; this may include device information, app version, and technical details about what the app was doing when the error occurred. Sentry processes this data in the EU under a data processing agreement.

We may disclose data if required to by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Daytiq, our users, or the public.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely in the EU and encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your account and family profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. Most of these actions are available directly in the app under Profile settings. For anything else, contact us at support@daytiq.com.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app changes. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in the app before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
